This blog was designed for our family. It's in full color as it shows the changing patterns of life in the Risbrudt family. It paints a portrait of the times of learning, growing, and loving that strengthens us. As our children are leaving home we designed this blog to help us keep in touch with what is happening in each other's lives. With family by our side we can always count on someone who knew us as we were then and loves us as we are now. You are welcome to take a peek if you like.
Here are some pictures of Nick playing Basketball this season. This has been a lot of fun for the players and the parents. Here is Coach Norm Newell during a time-out.
This is one of my favorite pictures. Nick's buddy Adam Schueller (Shu for short) is going up for a free throw in the Varsity game against Rocorri. It is in overtime. The fans all took off their shoes and held them up for the shot.
AND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>It is GOOD!
Going in for a layup.
This week-end all the kids were home with their friends. It was cold outside so we spent a lot of time inside playing games. If anyone wants to learn a "new" way to play clue just ask Chelsea!
Linz has become quite the arm wrestler. She is showing her stuff!
Lindsay and Sam
This Florida girl (Savannah) came to church with flip flops on and it was -20 outside! We had to fix that as soon as we got home.
Jeff in his new Florida Gator Vest!
**************************** Getting help with that tie!
************I think we need Darin in a white tie to make this patriotic.
*********************I guess black shirts were in this year

Saturday found Lindsay and Sam coming to spend the week-end. It was a beautiful day so we thought we should try some cross-country skiing at Spidahls Ski Guard. With the beef stew in the crock pot awaiting us to work up an appetite we set out to do just that! What a great day. Notice we didn't post any pictures of us on the ground....we did land there though. We were definitely tired at the end of the day.
Last spring Nick was looking for a golf course in the area that was open. So, I went on to the Arrowwood web-site to see if their golf course could be open. In the process I registered for a free night at the Arrowwood resort in Alexandria to be given away. I won! So this week-end after attending the Otter Basketball game in Alexandria we stayed at the resort. Our visit included a free nights stay, breakfast for 4 (it was a great buffet) and 4 free waterpark tickets. Since mom and dad decided to skip the water park, Nick and his friend Darin had two other friends who live in Alexandria join them at the water park for the day. We met Laura and her family at Bible Camp last summer during family camp. Thanks for spending the day with us Laura and Lauren! It was a great place to be when it was -35 below wind chill outside. We are looking forward to our next game of Sequence with you! :)
These first few pictures are of Jeff, Chelsea and Savannah (Chelsea's sister).
These Florida girls are probably experiencing the coldest days in their life right now. Jeff was home from college for 3 weeks. It was a
good time to see his high school buddies. There was
never a dull moment with these guys around. Guess who
is almost falling asleep, who is talking to his girlfriend and
who is playing the Wii??
Nick sprained his ankle right before Christmas in
a basketball game. He was icing his ankle in a very cold
bucket of water when he suggested to Pere he put his head
in there. Pere is always up for a challenge. I wonder why
we even bother to buy boys toys when they can have so
much fun without them!
