Over the 4th of July week-end we headed out to the Bismarck/Mandan area to visit Lindsay, Sam and his family. This fall Lindsay will come back to the Fargo Moorhead area to student teach and then after the wedding on January 3rd she will move to Bismarck with Sam. Here are a few pics we took of the kids this week-end. Bismarck has a great zoo. We had fun seeing some of the sights of this area.
This blog was designed for our family. It's in full color as it shows the changing patterns of life in the Risbrudt family. It paints a portrait of the times of learning, growing, and loving that strengthens us. As our children are leaving home we designed this blog to help us keep in touch with what is happening in each other's lives. With family by our side we can always count on someone who knew us as we were then and loves us as we are now. You are welcome to take a peek if you like.

More Bismarck/Mandan pics
Sam gave us a tour of both Mandan and Bismarck. We got to see where he worked at Missouri River Contracting, we saw where Lindsay worked at the bank, we saw where both of Sam's parents work including his Dad's shop where Sam realigned the tires on our van. (Thanks Sam!) It was a good week-end to see "Sam's World" and soon to be "Sam and Lindsay's world" . We were fortunate to be able to stay at Sam's parents home. This is where Lindsay is living this summer. Sam's parents had been in Washington helping their youngest son settle in at a new college he started this week. We were glad they made it home late Saturday so we could see them.
Sam took the guys on a tour in his mom's car. They had fun with this!
For about 2 years the kids have been telling Richard NOT to wear dark socks when he wears shorts and sandals. Well, Sunday after church when Richard came upstairs at Sam's house he found he had company in the "dark socks department". So if Sam's dad can wear dark socks with his shorts so can he! We thought this deserved a picture. THE BOYZ

Take me out to the ballgame........
Jeffrey entered a contest on Craig Olson Sports and won 4 free Minnesota Twins tickets. So, when he flew into MSP from visiting Chelsea and her family in Florida the guys met him at the airport and they enjoyed an evening of baseball. Looks like someone even caught a ball. I heard it was a team effort to get it!
